      I watched a bit on iPlayer, it seemed really interesting to me. I quite like Kate as a presenter, there's nothing wrong with a bit of enthusiasm. Raymond is a very likable man and knowledgeable too. The bit about Jersey Royal spuds was very good, I will have to try Raymond's method of cooking them, he didn't boil the water first, brought the whole pan including spuds from cold to slow simmer, then 10 minutes on the dot after it's started simmering.

        Yes I agree with your comments on Kate and Raymond.

        At school, in cookery classes (yes they had them back then!), we were told that root vegetables went into cold water and anything above the ground in boiling water.

            Enjoyed the second programme too. Quite reassuring to also see that even that garden has to deal with marauding pests in the summer! He always makes the cooking look so simple too.

            I love their enthusiasm. Unfortunately I find Raymond's french accent rather hard to decipher so I am glad I have subtitles.

            I've met Kate and really like her, she is the same in real life as she is on the small screen. I've also met an actress from Coronation Street, who is a nasty, stuck madam in real life.

            I love this program, never been to Kew but I will make an effort to soon I think.
