Mrs Woos car (her pride and joy) needed a new gear box,I arranged for it to be picked up last Monday, but now they have found a crack in the casing, they tried to weld it but it didn't take,so a new case is now needed,it should be ready by Tuesday Wednesday:smile:

I thought long and hard if it was worth spending £1000 on the care which is a 2001 model but Mrs Woo has had it from new its fully serviced every year and she says she is used to it and (what ever that means):heehee:

Some moron ran a coin along one side of it ,and she wants yours truly to make good, any ideas would be very much appreciated on how to go about this as I only know about Roses;)

No advice, but .... how infuriating that someone though running a coin along someone else's car was any kind of idea  So sorry to hear that woo!
Oh and ... I *do* get what Mrs Woo means by she is used to it ... and that is a totally credible argument for her wanting to keep it :spinning:

Sorry to hear that Woo, that's very annoying. More late night Owl patrols required :)

If it's not deep you could use 'T' cut :

Or if it is deep it will need filling and painting, not straightforwad for DIY as it's difficult to get a paint match. It might be best to use a company like Chips Away, they have a fixed price service and will come out to you, there are a few of them:

I helped a friend (silver grey fiesta) using 2 sprays from my local car shop. Prepared area, masked off the areas, sprayed with overcoat a few times then a Lacquer top coat. My repair was to front plastics not in middle of door but it came out quite well.

Woo, I agree totally with @JWK, however would add one more option - Chipex

If you have a bit of patience, and the damage isn't too bad, the results can be quire remarkable; loads of videos on YouTube to guide you too :dbgrtmb:
