Sick Apple tree

      Oh don't tempt me, @Spruce !

      As a child the neighbours had a mulberry tree, which hung over our garden. Apple and mulberry crumble - yumsk!!

      I have a mulberry at the bottom of the garden , still waiting over 6 years since its been planted for the 1st fruit but the tree is developing nicely.

      should be grown more than it is

        A quick update.

        We have spent this morning pruning out the dead tips off the apple tree, and back along any split branches, all the pruned branches have been burnt "with tongues of cleansing fire," -upwind of the fruit trees, the secateurs, loppers and pruning saw disinfected, disinfectant poured over the fence (can't go into our sceptic tank), and clothes washed.

        I don't think there is much more we can do to try to save the tree, and keep the others as safe as possible!
