I have just returned from a lovely open garden close to where I live. I spotted a small Euphorbia which was happily growing right underneath a massive evergreen tree and took great interest that something could actually grow in what are very trying conditions.
The owner kindly came to look at the plant I was talking about and then couldn't remember the variety.
She generously gave a few pieces of the plant so I'm hopeful I can get it to root.
The plant grows about 6 inches tall. Has soft spindly leaves which are dark green but are tinged, both leaves and stem, with a sort of red/maroon tinge. The small flowers are typical Euphorbia yellow.

Sorry the photos are rubbish, my camera seems unable to take close ups. If you need a better photo I'll try and swipe daughter's Ipad which takes great photos even with a rubbish photographer (me) using it.

If its a proper digital camera silu it should have macro button - a little flower sign , for close up shots.:blue thumb:
PS : I don't know what the plant is , if it was crystal clear I still probably would not know

WELL @ stephenprudence have you heard of the expression regarding Mother and sucking eggs?:) . I've probably been trying to get rid of Mare's Tail from various gardens for more years than you've been on this planet!! I think I mentioned it has yellow flowers did I not? I don't ever remember seeing Mare's Tail flower.
I have 2 horses, both now pretty elderly and 1 of them LOVES to eat Mare's Tail. Yup according to all the books it's meant to be poisonous to horses. He's in rude health at 19 years old and has been fed mare's tail for a least 10 years to my certain knowledge. I don't believe everything I read in books:). I have managed to get rid of Mare's Tail where required by crushing the stems/leaves and applying Glyphosate with added washing up liquid. Repeating the process maybe 4 times if any regrowth noticed.
As "requested":):):) @"M" I've added some clearer photos c/o Daughter who is much better than me with these modern machines. I'll go and see if my "Box Brownie" has a macro button @HarryS. thanks.

Well done @Silver surfer I had a bet with myself you'd come up trumps and sure enough. It is Fens Ruby variety. Is this also a thug/invasive? I thought it might be a good idea to plant it below an enormous Lime (about 100 years old) but if it's a horror then I won't bother. Thaks for your identification.

Focus before you shoot in several spots until it finds something to focus on. If you try to get a straightish edge (leaf, petal etc) that cuts across the edge of the focus area in the viewfinder that will usually do the trick.

Digital cameras are magic and I can honestly say getting my tiny (simple to use) one 10 years ago changed my life.
I remember the old film cameras...it used to be so expensive to develop pics that you had to be careful.
Not any more...just take several pics/10/15/20 ..then put on your computer and delete all that are rubbish.
                      It costs nothing! Wonderful.

I see things on my macro flower pics that I just cannot see with the naked eye.
Even down to tiny insects hidden.

Sorry too late for the ID and see Harry has already posted regarding a macro button. According to the Exif data (embedded in your photo) you have a Casio EX-Z120 which looks like this at the back:

To get it into 'Close up' (aka 'Macro') mode press the up arrow button (just above 'SET') towards the flower symbol.

My god I'm impressed @JWK , thank you very much. I looked at the photo you put up before reading your post and thought "hang on a minute that looks remarkably like my camera". It's feels a bit like Big Brother has been watching me! I'm not even going to begin to understand how on earth you know what kind of camera I have but am more than gobsmacked:). Brilliant info tho, funny how you knew I needed the proverbial idiot's guide. Was clueless as to how to do a close up until now.
Be warned I could bore the pants off everybody posting close ups of all my plants and I have .....hmm quite a lot:heehee:.
