    Ah thank you, and for the name of the rose, there is another, much better opening, so I'll send you a photo when it does.:)

        Hi @wiseowl I've managed to clear around the net work of roots and I think all three are linked. I don't mind loosing the little one but the one I've cleared of ivy seems to be doing well. Can I cut the root or will this damage its growth? Here are some hopefully better photos

        I have cut as you stated covered the area and given it a good watering. Leaving the remaining for tomorrow now. Thank you so much for your time and help :)

                  Good morning @Lolimac my friend yes its absolutely lovely:smile:

                  Do you remember just before Christmas I hard pruned that 25 year old climbing Rose down at my local surgery,all I left was 6 canes about 18 inches tall,here it is now,I had just removed most of the blooms yesterday,will put some wires up on Monday:smile:
