Hydrangeas

    why are my hydrangeas covered in a white sticky substance all up the stems and under the leaves, thanks

          Hi

          A bad case of scale insect , which I have never seen on hydrangeas before , if you use a general insecticide and spray would be the quick fix and follow the instructions I would imagine you would have to use a again in a couple of weeks time

          Normally with this amount of scale insect the plant was already stressed and weak so have you fed the plant and kept well watered taking in to account its in a pot

              I'd put it in a larger pot (or in the ground) if it were mine, with some fresh compost as it looks quite stressed. Hope the bug spray works :blue thumb:
