Does anyone have any ideas on how to make a greenhouse from a gazebo frame? I was given the frame & all the covers for it -(it was a posh one at some point lol)
& ideally want to convert it some how for the allotment.

Hi, I'm not sure that I can help you to convert a gazebo into a greenhouse, my skills for that sort of thing are not my strongest point! :doh:but may I suggest you have a peep on things for sale in your area, gum tree & free cycle, you might be lucky to find one on there :dbgrtmb:. Good luck :)

Do you intend to cover the frame with clear plastic? I think it would be nigh on impossible to find one ready made. Maybe you could rig something up with heavy duty polythene and gaffer tape. but it would look messy and wouldn't last long.

Polytunnels aren't very expensive, there are some threads on here on good cheap versions.

Thank you Becki - It seems though that people have a radar for these things & by the time I comment or reply, they've already been taken. I'm doing well with getting lots of paving slabs for pathways...but thats it at the mo.

My idea was maybe cutting massive window size holes in the sides & attaching some thick polythene, but now am not so sure thats going to work.
I may just use the frame to cover cabbage etc & put net over it.
Back to the drawing board :rolleyespink:

Hi @Cannyfullpots, sounds like you have been really busy with the paving slabs :dbgrtmb:. I've just noticed you are from Suffolk too, I shall keep my ear to the ground & if I hear of anyone replacing/getting rid of their GH I shall let you know. :dancy:

I think that's your best option, it would make a good soft fruit cage.

I have found Pinterest invaluable for my garden diy's. If you put in a search for diy greenhouses there are hundreds of ideas and tutorials on how to do it. Good luck and well done on what you have done so far!
