While we're on the subject, a few moth jokes:

People are saying there's a giant killer butterfly on the loose in London.
I think it's just an urban moth.

What flies around a light bulb at 100mph?
        Stirling Moth.

My pet moth died in my arms
I tried saying "Don't go into the light", but it wouldn't listen

        :D

Ziggy, are you OK? The moth thing, I mean. You need another enthusiasm. When my son was small, it was dinosaurs. In the end, they bored the hell out of me but at least they were safely extinct.

Its Saturday night & i've got no money, i'm 20 miles from the beach so can't even go fishing, i'm stuck with evil wife who has been screaming at Willow because she wants to put Christmas decorations up (near Christmas:DOH:)

So i'm seeking solace in the moth population of the world:dbgrtmb:

I waged war on moths for years. Every sweater I owned was chewed by them. I always wondered why they were so obsessed with woolies. Apparently they have evolved to feed off the sort of fibres birds use to line their nests, and unfortunately we had a duff Victorian roof full of them - sparrows' nests, mainly. The only things which deterred the clothes moths were old-fashioned mothballs, but they got banned (probably those darned Europeans again). Now that we have a new roof, and have got rid of rather a lot of dodgy carpets which the previous owners left in the loft, we don't have any problems. But I still see moths as enemies.

Not all moths are enemies Clare. There are some very nice ones that hang around privet flowers at night, with pale green wings.

You can't trust 'em. They hang around looking all innocent but then bam! they've got their fangs into your best pully. And what about tiger moth caterpillars? Those hairs can do very nasty things to you.
