Ziggy, this guy is telling us what we all know.:wink: Personally,I prefer my life long interest in Astronomy and what I've learnt from it to explain our place in the Universe and that ties in with everything Richard Dawkins says. "What are we here for etc." is a question that defines "growing up". I don't know how old this guy is, I would think early 20's. What's his problem with religion. It's a great way to live your life if you don't want to think for yourself. It provides comfort when your whole life goes txxx up. I don't use it myself but I know it helps lots of people.

I you look at the whole universe it tends to put things in perspective Ever since I was a kid, I have always believed that the universe was so large that there must be many, many, other races of intelligent beings out there. And that they must be pretty upset that God sent his only son to Earth rather than one of the other planets. But then they probably have their own gods with numerous ofspring.

I also believe that the only way to beat religeous extremists is through education rather than with weapons. Sadly for them, their placards saying 'Islam will rule the world' are not true - education will rule the world. But it will take some time - we have to educate the Americans first - half of them still believe in Creationism :D
