The first one reminds me of Wood Avens, it's a wild flower. It can spread in a garden and is not very pretty.

The second one looks familiar but I can't think what it is.

The first one is definitely a weed, I'm pulling that out all the time, I'd not like to say about the second picture.

Thanks for everyone’s help, I did think the first one was a wood aven with the research I’d done and I’ve now pulled these up, the other one spreads everywhere along the back of my bungalow and sort of climbs quite high if left and looks unsightly so I’m sure it’s a weed as well.

Looks like Ajuga which is my favourite ground cover plant. Very popular with the bees here at the moment.

              Happy gardening!

Yes it's Ajuga, very pretty but spreads a lot. If you don't want it, it's a weed, but if you like it, it isn't .

If you like the Ajuga then the large leafed variety, Ajuga reptans 'Catlin's Giant', is more attractive. The flower is slightly bigger as well. Although both varieties tend to be quite rampant Catlins is easier to control.
