So now you know why Manchester police are going armed to stop allotment owners from carrying gardening tools. Their minds are not on the job…
That's just ridiculous! How hard can it be to make uniforms that fit? Are they still using patterns from the 50s and 60s? Body shapes have changed a great deal since then.
I heard this some time ago, I got the impression they wanted both sexes to fit into one uniform type.
Why don't they just go nude ? Not only save money on uniforms but most criminals would be so frightened/shocked/laughing their heads off that it would be a simple job to apprehend them. If they need to be armed , I suppose they could always stick them in/up............. Just had a new calendar listing dates for recycling and general rubbish collections. They want us all to recycle more food waste apparently ( obviously never heard of freezers, left overs or compost heaps ) and state that 1 banana skin ptoduces enough energy to re charge a mobile phone twice. I don't own a mobile but I wonder how many users will now be draping banna skins round their phones expecting them to recharge. All official so must be true People with electric vehicles must be buying bananas by the ton
OH's daily banana skin goes into a 1.5litre pot with some water and one orange skin. When it's full I strain it and then dilute it as a feed for the house plants. They are all thriving and the drained skins end up on the compost heap. Wouldn't waste them on mobile phones. As for naked police - apart from the aesthetics, just imagine the skin chaffing they'd suffer from the utility belt they have to wear to carry their truncheon, radio, handcuffs and all sorts of other bits and bobs. And where would you pin the ID number?
Given some of the things that some policemen allegedly get up to, crushed testicles ought to be the minimum that happens to them.
Well that’s it then no compensation for a previous car fraudulent car finance agreement I had. Let’s hope some lawyer can take it further somehow.
I believe that the Supreme Court dismissed two of the three cases brought to it, you may still be covered by the third case, you'll have to wait and see.
That explains why my bank shares took a bit of a hit yesterday. I couldn't understand the reaon initially as all I'd seen was the headline that the case had been lost.
Apparently the Financial Services Authority is hoping to publish details of a recompense scheme for those due compensation by Monday, with payments next year and the advice is they will contact those entitled so do nothing and ignore invites from Claims Companies.
