The Nobel Prize committee have confirmed that is non transferable.
If it had been a Brit handing it over "for services to Democracy" then the sarcasm would be outstanding.
However in this case it's the best bit of odious toadying since I don't know when.

The Nobel Committee have stated that you can pass the Nobel material and physical award on to anybody you want. They also state categorically that does not mean the recipient of the material now qualifies as a Nobel Prize holder. That honour remains with the person granted the award by the Nobel Committee. Trump will be miffed but will undoubtedly now consider himself to be winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.

We were visiting friends yesterday and they had a car on their drive under a complete cover. I asked what it was and they said they had just bought a Maserati Quattroporte because owning a Maserati had always been on her bucket list. They went on to explain they got it for a very good price, full service history, and they planned to move it on again before it required its next service. The receipts show a minor service is £3500! The car was cheap because a bloke with far more money than sense had bought it as a present for his daughter when she passed her driving test!!!!!!! His daughter didn't want it (sensible girl) mainly because it was too big, and it was almost impossible to get insurance cover (what a surprise).

Only if they have anything worth pinching and then it will be the usual - need it for defensive purposes.

For 70 years my poor brother has fought with athlete’s foot following a visit to the local swimming pool when he was in his teens. Does anybody know if these work?

If so, why has nobody shouted it from the rooftops?

Is his athlete's foot on his skin or nails? If skin, an essential oil like lavender, mixed in a base lotion, works. Don't apply the oil neat as it can burn the skin. Tea Tree oil also works, but the smell is quite strong. Rose oil works, but the aroma is an acquired taste. ;)

But for a recipient to just give it away devalues it. When she won it, the BBC was all over her. Hrs of coverage, interviews, etc, all eulogising about the dawn of hope for Venezuela. And yet, a couple of weeks later, she hands it over to someone who has stated he is not interested in democracy there and has brought about change by force (apparently around 120 lost their lives in the operation, though none was American so no matter and chalk it up as a military success extraordinaire!). I mean, really? It just shores up Trump's belief he can get away with anything, legal or not, and shows prizes can be treated as bartering currency.

It is frankly undignified. I understand politics is more about give and take than adopting an ethical stance and sticking to it because you believe in it, but this seems to be a new low.

It’s been under the big toe nail and little toe nail of just his right foot for all that time. Never moved to other toe nails or finger nails or skin. I think he must have tried everything on offer, including many chiropodist consultations, but nothing has ever shifted it. The laser light seemed like a good suggestion but as he’s never heard of it before he’s not sure if it actually works.

I'm amazed it has not spread. He could try diluted tea tree applied to the nail and see if that helps. Holland and Barrett used to do something to paint on nails to deal with fungal issues. Not sure what it was called.

I doubt anyone with an ounce of sense will fall for Trump holding a Nobel Peace prize other than his followers. It is a pity that the true winner felt it a good idea to hand it over but she's only following many others in an act of "appeasement".

I had athletes foot for years when I was younger, the only thing that worked was Lamisil, but I finally got rid of it by using Odour eaters foot powder every day.
For some reason you cant get it anymore, not that particular one anyway.

I can tell you the stink from my feet used to clear a room, even if I washed them regularly.
I used to take my socks off and they were always soaking wet summer and winter.

Not had it for a long time now.

I've always thought nail fungus was something different, I've never had that but notice there are fairly expensive things you can buy at the chemist which are fairly long term remedies.

Thanks both. Yes, he’s tried all the powders and creams and paints and so on. Nothing has changed it for more than a few days. He has followed instructions religiously but to no avail. The laser is his last hope but he’s reluctant to fork out seventy quid for just yet more disappointment.
