Trifid

Does anyone know what this plant is? I was unsure if it was a weed, but let it grow. Flowers appeared between the stalks and these grew into prickly bulbs. The plant is now about 5ft tall with around 20 of the prickly bulbs. It has taken about 2 or 3 months to grow to this size.

Looks like the seed pods for Datura stramonium. Common name Thorn apple.

ooh it is, carefull, its really poisonous & it will drop you like a sack of spuds.

Put some gloves on.

I had one turn up this year, i'm guessing it was a rogue seed in with the tomato seed.
