Before I destroy the kitchen with it, has anyone else used Turbo Yeast ?

Says it will turn 5 gallons of ribena into 20% alcohol in 3 days. Does this mean mega froth everywhere, will I need to bund it ?

    Cheers guys

    Here pete,

http://www.art-of-brewing.co.uk/acatalog/intro.html Been using them for years, very fast service.

Been looking at recipes for it, it only takes a few quids worth to make 5 gallons, although you'l need a hydrometer to work out the total sugar content before you start.

My Daughters friend makes it with turbo yeast but uses campden tablets to stop the ferment before it gets to silly percentage.

The bikers up the road used it to make cider, they said it got upto 25% by day 3.

I've made my own wine years ago but never got much passed 10 to 12 %, and slowly at that.

25% in 3 days sounds a bit ......:skp:

Its true, thats 2 different groups of people giving the same reports. I am now fully equiped to test it. I even have a gizmo that tests the final ABV. So I will post my results under a new thread. When i'm past with testing it proper, you know where i'm coming from.
