Whaaattt?

Ukraine is definitely in the right and worth supporting. It has made huge strides in embracing democracy and tackling corruption as well as innovation in drone technology and precision targetting. It has now signed a deal with Saudi Arabia that will secure investment in return for drone technology to help Saudi defend itself against Iranian missiles.

The entire attack on Iran was illegal from the start so US generals have been a bit slow to say no and reign in trumpy. even if Iran recognises that no European power has helped the US in those attacks i doubt they will rationalise that into trusting any of the western countries or alliances again and they will want revenge because their reading of the Koran is selective, just like all those US "Christians" ignoring Jesus saying love thy neighbour so they can be zenophobic, racist and misogynist as they please.

 

This is outside the sports dome in Toronto. This is what these "protests" have pushed the city to do. These "protests" have been getting more and more violent and disruptive to the lives of Canadians and I am worried that there will be a backlash that might be far from proportional.

It's amazing that these groups don't understand that their agitating actions are making people lose any sympathy for their cause and I believe, has started out and out hate for their demographic.

Whaaattt , why do they keep doing it? We, Canada, cannot stop these wars so get off the streets already!

 

I still say Trump was stupid enough to get dragged into this by Israel, I dont think they will stop whatever happens they have been at war and grabbing land for years, it nothing new to them.
They are the problem.
And it influence they have over the US.

 

Just listened to Trump whining on about how Iran launched a missile towards Ireland, ‘ which the UK had refused to give to the USA’.
Are there no psychiatrists in America? I know the teaching of geography in the USA is sadly limited too.

 

Israel is certainly no stranger to illegal secondment/settlement of land but it's unsure how far the world's understanding and acceptance of the horrendous historic treatment of Jewish people will stretch.
Most people of any culture just want to live their lives but the manic leaders and the fanatics just won't accept it.

 

I know Trump constantly rambles on about what he's going to do. The latest I heard was to 'take ownership' of the island where Iran's oil is shipped out from. As he has also said the Gulf of Hormuz is to be renamed the Gulf of Trump, who knows what madness will come from his mouth next?
There was talk of replacing Biden as being mentally unfit, so how the hell is Trump still there?
Trump has also allegedly said something to the effect that if King Charles cancels or postpones his planned visit there will be 'consequences'. Does he plan to bomb Buck House??

I dont think it has much to do with history or Jewish people, just because of the Holocaust it does not give them free reign to just slaughter any other country.

 

Well, the gardens look lovely but I expect Buck house could do witha total overhaul of its plumbing, wiring, insulation and heating @KT53 .

Given its is well nigh impossible to join the US military if a convicted felon, one has to wonder how a serial bankrupt and paedophile with 47 felony convictions can get to stand for a political position let alone get elected. I rather think it is going to take a very long time for the rest of the world to forgive and forget what Trump and his cronies and idiot followers have unleashed on the world and Iran will need decades if not more.

 

It doesn't matter if we forgive and forget. They don't care. And there's not much anyone can do about it.

 

If Charles does go ahead with his visit to the US, I sincerely hope he makes it clear that it is a personal visit (and will be paying for it out of his own pocket ) as opposed to on behalf of the UK.

I quite agree but does a day pass without accusations of anti semitism being made against organisations or individuals ? It does occur but it is constantly drummed into people that speaking out against Israel's govt and it's actions is anti semitism rather than anti govt. I was just wondering for how much longer Israel's govt. could rely on that attitide ? We can moan about our govt here but we are rarely described as anti English or even anti Christian if religion is a factor. Anyone even mentioning Palestine is condemned as a terrorist which is patently untrue.

 

Charles is being sent by the Government to keep Trump sweet; therefore the Government should pay.

 

Interestingly enough Buckingham Palace has been updated fairly recently. Certainly it is in better nick and better maintained than the Houses of Parliament.

 

Are they not still in the process, these old buildings need constant attention, a bit like cathedrals and stately homes.
Problems occur when they stop the constant upkeep and then it cost millions to get them back.

 

You are probably correct, @pete, he could have been thinking of Greenland, which he kept calling Iceland, although it is Denmark that he said wouldn’t hand it over to him. Or maybe he meant the Chagos islands, but I don’t think anyone was offering to give them to him?
Who knows what is going on in his head, but not much of it would make sense to anyone with half a brain!
I wonder how the No Kings demonstrations are getting on. Will ICE be sent in to attack them?
