Found this flowering the Alpine House. No label and I do not remember planting it. Certain it is a bulb, if only because of the strap like leaves. The flower is about 2 cms across.
    Anyone any ideas?

Oh dear, I think it is actually Chionodoxa lucillae, flowering at totally the wrong time and in a place where I would never have planted it.. Well, that's my excuse.

It's very pretty anyway. Why wouldn't you have planted it where it is?

It is perfectly hardy and can take everything the weather throws at it, so there would be no point in planting it in the Alpine House. There are other bulbs which I would love to have which can go in there!

Just had a reply from an expert on Bulbs. He thinks it is Brodiaea pallida. However, I have never bought or grown from seed this one, BUT a long time ago I did have seed of B. minor SO it might be that or mislabelled seed and be as the man says. Either way it does not seem to be commercially available.
