    Hi guys,
Just a quick question, is anyone else having an infestation of catapillars this year? Last year I hardly got any, but this year I'm constantly picking the bloody things off, or having to cut a shoot off a plant because it's moving with the little blighters! Main things affected are my Bishop of Llandaff Daliahs, Sunflowers, Fuchsias, Sweet peas and Euonymus fortunei! What natural ways do you get them as it's time consuming doing this every evening on top of watering?

You are rather unlucky. I have never had caterpillars on any of the plants you mention. Brassicas yes, Aquilegia yes, gooseberries, tomatoes and chillies yes and other assorted plants. I generally pick off them or for bad infestations I use an organic insecticide containing fatty acids but you need to hit the them with the spray, as it is a contact insecticide.
