I have recently purchased 3 poor specimens which are supposed to be cranberries. Can anybody tell me if they are trailing bushes and need canes or whether I should just leave them?

I think they like ericacious compost, I would suspect you just leave them like bilberries, but have never grown them myself.

Thanks for that link, it was very helpful. I am now going to dig them up again and put them in a nice container with ericaceous compost and at least give them a chance to thrive.
I will let you know if they produce fruit!!
