Thanks Zigs, I've just watched it. :dbgrtmb:

Takes me back a lot. I used to work in a lot of the places shown there but couldn't spot myself on one of the stalls I ran. :heehee: I've worked on stalls down Petticoat Lane, Commercial Road and Roman Road and in an old fashioned deli (wasn't old fashioned in those days) in Brick Lane. I did all of that between 1955 and 1962 so some of the films were during my era.

        Very reminiscent.

        Cheers :old:

I thought you'd like that. Sad to see so much lost forever though.

          Did you spot JWK?

Shiney, I used to sprint down to Petticoat Lane at lunch time from Fenchurch Street when I worked there in my teens. I bought most of my clothes there, some great stuff to be had. Those were the days eh? :)

Yes, things were pretty good - but I think I was there a little bit before your time . I used to work almost opposite the bloke who sold the crockery. Now, he was a real salesman!

I've never had jellied eels but I knew the Tubby Isaac's stall very well. I knew Solly who took over from Tubby (his brother in law) after Tubby went off to the States. I don't think I could bring myself to eat jellied eels!!
