    Raspberry, blaclcurrent blackberry etc. Im based in NI an I dont know about GB but selection is small and prices seem big. I see some in pots at garden centres for a single cane at £9. Maybe that is the going price?

    I know it is getting late in the year but where does everyone else buy theres? Ive seen some (I know they might work in the ground) that look absolutely done, twigs with no sign of life.

    I love raspberries especially but so far never seen any decent stock.

    If you can't get what you are looking for locally then I would look on line. I bought a decent sized blueberry plant yesterday at the garden centre £6.99, which was good as most of them were £15 or more. I think I paid around £10 for my blackcurrant around 4 years ago which is now a big plant that produces masses of fruit.

    Other problem of online is selection again! Ive seen plenty of cheap ones but goodness knows how good. Any shipping from mainland UK is normally a no go as most don't bother with extra cost.

    Might sound daft. But with most canes should I expect new growth this year? I know with primocanes and Florocanes

    Poundland and alike have decent ish plants if you get there early before they dry out. Get cuttings free from friends etc .

    I just cut bits off my bushes,stick them in th e ground and they seem to root and grow, ,about 50% success rate.

      @Greecko A couple of thoughts.
      Nip down the local allotments or contact local horticultural society and find out where they get their fruit bushes from. May be get together with a couple of people and split the delivery charge as many suppliers do deliver to NI at an additional charge.
      Could have a look at http://futureforests.net/default.htm for next winter.

      Thanskd for that site, a little weirdly displayed but not bad prices at all.

      Googled NI horticultural sites but all in the East. I knew about Comber, it is probably the best known vegetable and arable growing part in the North. We grow stones where I live haha

      I was going to recommend Ashridge Trees which is where I got mine from but they don't deliver to NI as far as I can tell.

      Thanks folks ill ask them there are lots of great looking shops but alas shipping is too dear it seems. For the right thing I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra but sometimes it's the couriers themselves
