For pest control, Garlic Barrier is often recommended for use on vegetables, but the price of £7.99 and the method (constantly spray plants from seedlings to build up effectiveness) makes this a costly solution.

Does anyone have a recipe for making their own garlic spray?

This year, as a deterrent against Cabbage Moth I have planted garlic randomly among my cabbage, the effectiveness remains to be seen.

    Any ideas would be welcome.

Hello, Keith D, and welcome to GC!

I HAD a recipe for garlic spray for use on whitefly on roses and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone ... it was positively disgusting smelling and didn't cure the problem for me.

I'm sure someone will come along and praise it.

We have lots of Cabbage Moth here but I don't have cabbages! :D :D

    Hope you enjoy the forum!

Hi Keith, when you plant your brassicas interplant with your onions, shallots and garlic. You can also interplant with marigolds ( not the gloves ). David.
