Hi folks

I'd never heard of this bloke until yesterday, when it was announced that he'd died. Just look at the tunes he wrote/co-wrote!

I hadn't either, but there was a lot of talk about him on Facebook.

 

I think he usually teamed up with someone else, know the name but not the face.

See, as far as I'm concerned, that is SUCH a cool tune, pure class The trumpet is SOOO laid back, love it...

See, I can't stand Cilla Black, but this tune...well...

 

It evoked all the evenings spent with my Dad in the 60's & 70's and the one gig we went to together

You threw me there Anyway, I used to dismiss these kinda tunes, but somehow, they have a certain 'something' that makes them magical, I think. "Raindrops Keedp Falling On My Head", "Do You Know The Way To San Jose", wonderful tunes....and who can forget..."Make It Easy On Yourself"....wonderful...
