    Hello everyone!

My parents have a house plant that they are having trouble identifying. Could you cast your eyes over these pics and help me identify them please?

    Thanks!

It's a Dendrobium nobile variety of some sort or another. The canes die after flowering, but do not remove them as they are food stores for the new canes as they grow. They are fairly cold hardy which is helpful as a spell at five degrees Celsius is one of the best ways to encourage blooming. When was the plant blooming?

    longk,
I wouldn't say the canes die. But they tend to lose their leaves and prob won't flower again.

I did put it badly didn't I! In truth they do lose their leaves and gradually die back and shrivel over two or three seasons (at which point I remove them). As I say, they do serve as "food stores" at first for the rest of the plant.
