Identification please

Anyone know what these are, please? They grow where the grass is left longer, but if I cut the grass later on they don't come back next year??

 

I could be wrong, Jack by the hedge ???????

 

I googled images, don't think it's that. It seems to only grow where the grass is longer, not seen it in short grass. The flowers are pale pink ( look white in pic ).

 

The flowers look like Lady's Smock/Cuckoo Flower, but the 'strawberry like' leaves look like Wood Avens (which will have yellow flowers).

Do you have 2 different wild flowers In that image? (3 including the Dandelions)

 

There are daisies, buttercups, dandelions, campions and the plant that has strawberry like leaves - don't know what that is - growing there, too.

 

The pink flowers do look like Ladies Smock and the other plant could well be Wood Avens.. Why won't the Ladies Smock grow again after the grass has been cut? I did wait until it had finished flowering before cutting.
