Anyone watching out tonight?
Last night was very cold but beautifully clear here- hope it stays clear tonight.

 

Thanks for the reminder Liz, did I read it would be soon after dark - about 6 p.m.

 

i am a bit thick what is leonids :confused: :confused:

They are some sort of meteors that are going to be visible tonight if we have clear skies.

thanks jjordie now i know what they are,

on the phone to rosa she says the only lights she will be seeing tonight are her christmas lights she is on the drink at the mo, me too, i will not see anything either,

will you tell me can you see these with the naked eye or do you need a telescope :eek: :eek: :D :D :D

 

We shall be looking from this angle. T'other half says it will be at its most intensity after midnight!

 

Clouded over here this afternoon. I didn't remember last night!

It started to cloud up here but then cleared to the most fantastcally starry sky ever! Saw one really good shooting star then several smaller ones. Sorry you missed it, Liz! :(

 

I went to sleep to the sound of rain thundering on the windows.... not much chance of seeing anything in that lot!

 

Saw three perhaps four early on, but it clouded over later so no chance of seeing any more.

 

It's still not dark here so I'll go look in a wee while. We're due rain again this week so we may well start to cloud.

 

Palustris - lucky you to see some. It clouded over and then rained here so no chance.

 

Just come back in. Lovely clear sky again and zillions of stars but nothing else, I'm afraid. A cool (currently 16oC, 13oC at the coldest) clear night here.
