My five year old grandson's first nativity at school last year saw him getting the top male part........Joseph, no less!

Having got the top job last year, the only way to go this year is down. What part is he playing.......a singing sheep! :) Well we all have to take the rough with the smooth I suppose. Sadly I'm not going to be there to see it.

When my son was small, his first play was enlivened by the activities of the little shepherds, who weren't getting on at all well and nearly ended up coming to blows.

When I was five, I got the job of being one of the angels in the school show. My mum spent ages making a pair of ridiculous wings out of cardboard and silver paper. There were three performances and mum and dad were due to come to the last one. Unfortunately the form teacher decided that it was 'only fair' that the understudy angels (!!!) had their turn in the limelight that night, so I was required to hand over my wings to a rival. They were rather battered by the time she took to the stage ...

Reminded me of a really embarassing nativity my youngest daughters was in a a child, I had to make her a sheep costume, not a bad attempt but the staff at the nursery put it on her back to front!!!!! with the tail at the front, luckily the poor kid was too young to realise :o.
