    Did you mean "what a Band" [WOW!!}, or "what a band" [GROAN}??:heehee:

    Me?, I don't like them as they sound so deary and like a very bad imitation of the Beatles.
    They say imitation is a form of compliment.........but not in this case.:(

    I haven't lost a friend, have I????:heehee::D:heehee:

      Well they were at one time a Bad imitation of the Beatles
      Though neither group exists now

      The Beatles changed the music scene forever

      They OR George Martin wrote a song a day totally of a different genre every two days, for themselves and other bands for years
      They even launched the Stones first songs
      Everyone in the world can name everyone in the group and others that WERE in the group or covered for illness
      How many people can name more than TWO in Oasis ?

        Surely when the beatles came out, they were compared to someone, everyone takes inspiration from someone, they still sound great!!

        Actually, no, Hydrogen!!! The Beatles were a new sound and style and there were two major groups then, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, both completely different from each other. But the music in the 60's was probably the most prolific for songs that are sung and remembered even now.:D:yess:

          Here's my analysis of the band, Oasis (no offence Oasis fans):

          You know when you're down the shops, and you inevitably witness the spectacle of a kid around 3 years old, who saw something they wanted, but their mam wouldn't buy them it?

          Over the course of several minutes, the main ferocity of the tantrum will start to subside a bit. At about the half way point, the kid starts to get the message that their tantrum is not going to win them the prize they so badly believe they need, but they still have enough energy left to persist with their whining and high pitched cry/shouting. This phase lasts many minutes, until it gradually decays to a steady relentless whining noise punctuated by the occasional moody grunt. Every oasis song I've ever heard reminds me of this phase of a tantrum.
