I planted a Conference Pear Tree 5lbcods ago.The tree has flowered every year but has never yielded fruit in the 5 years..
This year I started to Feed The tree regular with Fish,Blood & Bone plant food and regular watering. This year the tree is showing a growth of quite a few Pears :blue thumb:. I don't know if it is a coincidence using the plant food ,
    But Who Cares,I Have Pears..

    Hi Music

old saying "plant pears for your Heirs" they just take time to setle in and grow , "confrence" is only partialy self fertile so you need another variety I know "Beth" is a good variety plus "Belle Julie" I have been in this new house 6 years and three doors down have two pear trees they planted in the 1st year and I know they produced 5 pears between them last year I explained to the neigbhours what to expect.
So it can only get better
With feeding I would only do in the spring with fruit trees otherwise you will end up with lots of fresh growth and you need the wood to ripen over the summer months ready for the on-slaught of winter we have had over the past couple of years , but if it doesnt rain (as if) watering does help
