Show Stopper

I went to an arts evening at Barrington Court last night. My kids school had put on a show centred around "The Water Babies"

I'm sure if i'd ever read the book the show would have made some sense to me:DOH:

However, there was one part where the younger kids were acting out their interpretation of the story, part of it involved a list of nice things that were going to happen to this character,

"you'll have food from the sea, you'll be able to breath underwater"

The punchline was "But you'll have to wear a nappy"

The second the girl had said it a tiny voice from the audience yells out..

"Just like me!"

That was it.

The cast went to pieces with laughter & so did the audience, bows were taken & both the cast and the bemused toddler had a standing ovation.

You had to be their really, but I just had to try and share.:D

 

I really missed those school plays after my daughter went to the 'big school'.

I can't forget one about rainforest destruction and part of the scenery the kids made had "Slash and Burn" written on it, only the r and n ran into one another if you see what I mean.
