Those pictures are incredible. Just so hard to take in. We complain about the weather here but it puts us in our place when we see something like this. Devastating!

I'm glad someone noticed it Sheal, puts us to shame when we don't notice terrible disasters happening to our neighbours, while we're all looking at "What Katy Perry Did Next"

My heart goes out to all those involved. Tis a terrible thing.

Thanks for putting up the link Ziggy.:thumbsup:Yes we are so lucky that we live over here and get the sort of weather we can live through.A lot of these beautiful countries look nice in the holiday brochures etc but normally where there is beauty there is often a nasty beast{weather conditions}that comes along to kill and maime people.

One thing that srtuck me in the photo was that the hospital that was built of concrete and other solid materials {apart from the glass}is still standing but all the matchstick wooden houses have mostly all been trashed.Surly people would have a better chance of survival if the houses were built of better materials, apart from the rooves which would be lost anyway due to being ripped off,or do the townsfolk think it is quicker to replace smashed wooden shed type house than something more solidly built?
