As I am obviously far too left wing, liberal, relaxed or as some here would say gullible.
I shall not post on this threads current topic (DT vs the Beeb TV or immigration) again.
So now off to tend the flowers before they're all gone.

Not a bad idea @NigelJ it's beginning to go round in circles now.

My concern is that all the good things they do get lost in all the noise. Many of their radio services are relied upon by people worldwide. It's become fashionable to knock the beeb.
That said the producers/editors of Panorama ARE culpable and it's far from the first time they have done this sort of thing. I won't/ can't say much more , but playing a different answer to a previously asked question is just one of their little tricks.

@NigelJ that takes me back. I saw Pete Seeger perform here in the UK (think it was in the late 50's at St Pancras) and Joan sometime in the 60's.

I suspect the calibre of lawyer that works for Trump is the sort that doesn't care much where its income is derived and will milk it to death. Every accounted minute they spend on a case against the Beeb will be costing Trump dearly. Any bets as to how long it takes them to confirm they can't proceed to sue for pennies, let alone millions?

Changing the subject to weather forecasts. I use météo France and get their reports for agriculture which includes soil temperatures and evaporation rates as well as sun/wind/cloud/rain. This last couple of weeks they have changed the outlook for rain every day, sometimes twice a day.

Today they are saying will be cloudy but dry all day yet their radar image shows cloud and rain overhead. The radar image is correct so up which orifice have they stuck their heads?

Fair enough ... though I wouldn't say a person necessarily needs to be far too right wing, illiberal, rigid or overly suspicious to be intensely irritated by some of the BBC's output. ;)

As for flowers, I have been out to apologise to my annual Impatiens plants that I am unable to save them from the approaching cold snap. A shame ... but the cycle of the seasons is an unstoppable force and life and death an inevitable part of gardening.

@NigelJ I think you can plough a middle course, expecting honesty and practicality in politicians and journalists - those that aren't already self-declared as ewtreme left or right anyway by their allegience to parties or certain newspapers and news channel. However, more and more we get jobsworths, people with hidden agendas such as making money, hanging on to their job, pandering to a boss they want to please. Nothing wrong with being outraged by such goings on.

@ViewAhead I know what you mean. I have buds coming on young trees which need to wait till spring so have been chatting to them and now I have a strelitzia which is so happy this year it has 9 flower stems with big fat buds about to open. It's in a large pot out the front so I either have to apologise and risk losing the flowers in the cold nights forecast this week or heave it inside so we can enjoy the flowers but subject it to CH.

I'm not right wing or left wing, I'm me, say it as I see it, why does everyone or thing have to have a label these days, its stupid, although I must admit its very easy to get dragged into this left and right rubbish.

On the subject of weather radar, how the hell can you have forecasted radar, they all seem to do it and should stop it, its rubbish and defeats the whole point of having weather radar in the first place.

@pete The radar I see is, supposedly, as it happens, tho how the cloud and rain formations move may change over the hours to come if an arctic blast or Atlantic storm prove stronger or weaker than expected. They used to offer the option of seeing it over the last 12 hours but that's changed to 3.

But if its radar it wont change, as all you will see is what happened a few minutes ago, history, not what might happen in 10 minutes or an hours time, that's a forecast.

The weather forecasts drive me mad at times particularly on the TV. At present, it seems to be that you may possibly get a bit of rain, a bit of sun, a bit of cloud, a bit of snow or frost. They then end with " to check the weather in your area go to our website ". Why bother with the TV stuff in that case ? Another frustration is the evening forecasts - time is wasted informing us of what the weather has been like during that day. It is supposed to be a forecast - ie what is to come rather than confirmation of what has already occured.

Lots of Female weather forecasters / presenters.
I'm not being sexist, but why do they always whisper the last bit?
Lots of them seem to do it.

Left wing......Right wing......what about Middle wing or is that supposed to be Liberal ? I imagine there are plenty on this planet who are Middle wing - birds excluded of course.

That will be the bit where they say " IMO the weather has been perfect today " - don't want to be accused of bias or fibbing but can't resist adding their opinion

It is the weather warnings that really get my goat - so many of them turn out to be either a wee bit breezy or a wee bit wet and nothing more
