    Hi

I have a large rose bush growing by my fence on my patio, when the fence blew down some time ago the bush fell down and has now grown with a curve in the shank about a foot up. As far as I know it wasn't supported by anything previously. Should I cut it back to the curve? will it regrow? and should it be supported by something?

    thanks

    Hi, thank you

I'm afraid I don't know anything about it other than it was there when I bought the house a couple of years ago and before the fence came down it was upright and when it flowers it has white petals

Here's a couple of photos, do you need any more?

It looks like a rambler or a climber to me. It seems to have a few strong branches coming from near the base. I would leave these and tie them into the fence and then cut back the main "trunk" to just below the bent bit. It will come to no harm now and will shoot like mad in the coming weeks.
