    Hi
I am new to the site and grow in London. We have a larger than normal - 100 foot long - garden and live amongst lots of trees and quiet.
Our garden loves clematis - we have between 40 and 50 at any time - and is also an NGS garden and has been featured on TV and several magazines..
I am also leading a community greening effort in our urban town - which is growing madly (!!).
I would love to hear from anyone who also is involved in community gardening, or has seeds to spare, or suggestions or advice or....

Glad you worked out how to post in here :)

Sounds good, let me know if you've got a link to the magazine articles, don't think you'll be able to post links on the main board till your post count is up but i'll see what I can do :)

        Hi Zigs
I don't seem to be able to find the articles - I have found blogs and your videos but I don't think this is what you are referring to. I shall certainly have a look at the directory and am very keen when people tell me about bargains - hence I rushed down to our B&M this morning as we are planting a church garden in a week and need plants! There are only so many I can dig up from or patch...
I am still learning about this site but it does seem to me to one of the more useful to connect with other gardeners rather than just to post an activity like Project Dirt. I join everything I can that might me in the role our Chair has allocated me... 'The Greening Czar'. We might have very little money - and I personally am co-ordinator and publicist as now quite disabled but....
So thanks for all your help in getting me going...
Oh and PS. I've started posting a few photos of our personal garden and will also post our community gardening photos too.

Yep, this is a very good community, all sorts of seed swapping going on :)

I meant links to the articles about your community gardens, seen articles on them in Gardeners world mags, wondered if i'd already read about yours.

If you've got the mags and the months they were published i'm sure one of us will have a copy :)

I have very different growing conditions to you but I do like green initiatives to be a part of my outdoor activities. I try to run my hobby greenhouses using only solar power and of course greenhouses and cold frames are another wonderful way to harness the power of the sun.

          Welcome to the forum!

Hi - not yet links to our community gardening although am in the process of writing a general article about our Town Team and work for a town network. The articles are about our personal garden - and we were on TV - the Great British Garden Revival about a year ago - showing off our clematis on the climbers and creepers programme. Again, our personal garden but just wait...
