So I got a bit of a bargain at my favourite local charity shop, a 2lb Panasonic bread maker for £5 :wow:

old faithful Morphy Richards is already on freecycle awaiting it's new home and I've decided to do a bit of early (very) morning baking in the new bread maker:wub2:

Nice bargain! So, how did your very early morning loaf turn out? Did you stick with a basic white or something else?

I've got a banana loaf baking in mine at the moment.

Very well :) came out with a lovely crust even though I fell asleep and it stayed in another couple of hours after the baking cycle had finished....

Its my usual farmhouse loaf of 600g strong white and 75g wholemeal

Panasonic was recommended to me @peter121 which is what I bought and was very pleased with. :) I haven't used it for almost a year as I've pretty much given up eating bread.

                    Looks scrummy!!

:heehee: Maybe that is why there is a slight dip in the top? Lovely rise on it and the crust is an even colour. Top job!

Anyone having luck with baking gluten free since I last posted on 2015?
Any successful recipes to share please?

P.s. Kristen, I'm still baking your gluten bread recipe :snorky:

                      and for @Canadian Lori
                      too....

Time to wake this thread up again I reckon. This has just "beeped" in the Breadmaker. The trusty Panasonic has come up with this - on Program no. 4 = Whole wheat ( 5 hour bake ). I add wholemeal bran, 5 different seeds and glaze the top one hour before the end of cycle.

I love baking bread, don't have a bread maker though. My children's favourite at the moment is focaccia. They do pick the herbs off the top though
Try as a might to get some greenery into them :heehee:

I think this thread deserves its own place? Maybe with a link to the old one? Just an idea
Forgot to say, what a good looking loaf! The glaze is amazing. I love the addition of seeds too. My bread is just the usual, I'm afraid, white flour etc. I definitely need more inspiration. I did do a rolled up one ( Paul Hollywood I believe) that had ham and parmasan, that was tasty :) expensive though.

I really like our bread making machine (Panasonic) but get far better results from the Lodge Dutch Oven. Bottom middle and top right were baked in the Lodge. I don't have any better pics right now - will plan another baking day.

seen them, avoided them, would make bread often, then eat it often, then hips would get wider. so nope. not buying one.
