I've been Virgin Media'd - fantastic service when its working, but when it goes wrong it generally does it in style.

I've spoken to them and they admit a network fault and say it could be a week until its working properly - meantime the connection will be up and down like a fiddlers elbow. So, if I suddenly disappear, you know what has happened.

Disappearing into the ether then FC! We'll send the GC helicopter out to retrieve you, if possible. :)

That's the thing Joolz - generally, its pretty good and being fibre the speed they say is the speed you get all the time. However, since moving in here, we have had a few outages, and its been a bit of a pain; thing is, I know if I went for anything else, it would be massively slower and even less reliable.

Fibre optics is still considered witchcraft in Somerset, they've not long downgraded electricity from witchcraft to "Highly Suspicious" :th scifD36:

I have been on Virgin cable for 12 years now , since it was Telewest then NTL and now Virgin . Apart from losing an odd hour here and there connection , not had a problem with them. Its a 10 out of 10 supplier for me :dbgrtmb:

We're on Virgin cable too. It's most annoying if an outage happens when we're just about to watch something we were looking forward to. Then the outage seems to go on for hours!

Seems to be a bit more settled tonight, despite their warning that it would take a week :blue thumb:

Just recieved the Virgin V6 box with new hub as a free upgrade :th scifD36:

I am not sure why they would do this or is this to do with Sky bringing out a no dish system.
The old box was getting a bit slow so not complaining.
              Is anyone else on this?

              We've a Vigin Tivo.

We've been offered a free upgrade too.

But it will have to wait until my wife has watched all her "saved" programmes.

Problem is she keeps adding new ones!
