    Hi everyone

Any ideas what this shrub might be? It was planted here by the previous owners. It’s about chest height, has a thick woody stem, and delicate little flowers.

    Thanks!

I initially thought is was Mock Orange (from the flowers), but the leaves didn't look right, so I didn't post that.

I think @Silver surfer is correct with Exochorda macrantha - it has those ‘strings’ of little round white buds, and the leaves seem to match as well.

Thanks so much everyone! Ive been trying to ID this one for ages :yay:

Sorry Gail but Philadelphus do not normally flower until June.
                      Exochorda flower in April.

                      Philadelphus flowers have 4 petals
                      Exochorda have 5
I am 100% sure it is Exochorda.
