Is it possible to grow an olive tree outdoors in the ground in this country? I live in the East Midlands.

    Thanks

I have a small one growing against a south facing fence, its just recently survived -8C, so I would say yes, but site it in the sunniest place you can find.

I have a tree in the garden. It does not look very healthy but it did produce some flowers last summer and if it survuves thsi winter that I'd be happy.

Got it from Frosts, it is nearly 10 ft tall and it cost me a £5. It was in their marked down bin. well marked down since the original price was £49 and I'd never pay that sort of money for it.
