So we have a few of these in our garden.

To my mind they're pretty ugly. I don't recall them flowering or doing anything last summer through to now.

And they've done nothing in Spring either.

But the previous owner has planted about 6 of these in various places around the garden and also in a large planter at the front of those house so do they maybe have a purpose beyond looking ugly?

Possibly produce pine cone like things, as there were some around the base of that one but that could be coincidence too.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Well it does clearly look to be a type of Conifer and in 'flower' now.

However to your eyes its an ugly weed and can see why you think that, so like any such plant take it out, though perhaps offer it around before composting it, as with the previous owner someone may like them.

You could just lift them with a good root ball and put in a poly bag, then stick them near the pavement with a Free label.

I do drive past on my way to Liverpool, but please do not take offence if I do not stop by.

        That's ok.

I'll just stand on the bridge over the M62 and expertly throw them at you as you drive past :dbgrtmb:
