Having been promised a thunderstorm with heavy rain it turned out to be a damp squib, just squally light showers with the occasional glimpse of sunshine, 13C/55F

Got a yellow warning for thunderstorms but i don't think that will happen.

Bright, humid and calm

 

OK at the moment ,even a glimpse of sunshine every now and then but rain is predicted after 10 and could hang around all day. We have a weather warning in place too and a quick look at the satellite images shows a big dark blue and yellow cloud on the approach!!
Have to go out and do some haircuts, but absolutely hate walking in a thunderstorm!

Must be brave....people have to cope with horrific weather extremes ....this will be nothing in comparison.

Warm and quite sunny at the moment. Thunder storms predicted for later.

 

It's 20c, grey and trying to drizzle out there, but wish it would rain. Nothing in the forecast so maybe this is coming out of the hills. Freshens the leaves however.

Thanks Logan; I'm looking forward to using my Colt mower once its restored; it will cut the grass unlike my rotary mowers which shred the grass; treat your husband to a nice power feed big cylinder mower; he'll think it's Christmas.

I'm worried because it's not raining. (YET).

Thanks Colin, hubby has got a electric mower but the collection box is fiddly trying to put it on.

Happened to us some years ago. House got hit, I saw a blue flash in the hall! Electricity out for 9 days. Lots of Algarve affected. electrical repairers brought from all over the country. Boxing Day at friends house (where we spent Christmas) we get call at 8am saying they would be at our house at 9am. We rush home thinking "oh yeah" and they got here just after us! After going up pole and rewiring house back in business. PT (Portugal Telecom) gave us credit for downtime and insurance paid fully for new computer and accessories (desktop).

Have had some light rain which is appreciated. Sun just came out.

 

Home again.....to rain !! Hmmm!
I guess it’s warm rain though
