WHATS YOUR WEATHER LIKE 2019

At 10am this morning got soaked walking berry, it was light rain at first then all of a sudden it poured down and i was soaked in a few seconds, then it stopped. Had gail force wind all the afternoon and evening. The blueberries are covered in horticultural fleece and it was acting like a sail and tipping the pots over even though i had heavy containers in front of them. Have to cover with fleece because the black birds like the fruit.

I had a wonderful dry day. High 78f and I enjoyed rearranging some plants and capillary watering things to accommodate the 25 bags of potting soil I got at a bargain price. And it was pleasant shiftig them from the back of my minivan to the greenhouse. All set for this winters potting up

It's going back down to 57f. A great night to sleep with the comforter over me and the windows

On the down side, the rain the guessers promised for tomorrow has been cancelled.. but the kitchen will be cool in the morning so it will be perfect for baking my usual batches of bread and trying a new recipe for soirdough bread. And all that whilst enjoyjng my beloved Corrie!

Back to normal after yesterday,

The strong winds brought down a tree and a branch from another in the small wood where i walk the boys.

All is good right now ,sunny and calm. Chance of a passing shower mid morning.
Gales touched 60 mph here along the coast yesterday, so will have a closer look at things today to tidy away any damage that we missed.

Winds have died down to 20/30mph but cloudy, max expected 19c, still no sign of any really warm weather in the coming weeks.
Fuchsias and petunias have suffered wind burn but nothing too bad.

 

Currently 23c going to 26c. There is a lovely cool breeze which we have been having all week, day and night. Thursday was strange, overcast, drizzly then blue skies and sunshine. Back to high 20s tomorrow. Lovely weather.

Nationwide fuel stoppage tomorrow so roads will be quiet. We have two full tanks but plan on staying home enjoying the weather and garden.
