            In all fairness I think that it is anyone who has stated the mantra of "regaining control of our borders" as one of their reasons for supporting Leave. I may be wrong but I have yet to hear the EU say that......................

              Yeah but the EU are the ones that are dogmatic about their bloody "back stop", and wont agree to any other kind of border being in place.
              But at the same time they allow their borders at their eastern end to leak like a sieve.
              The so called "taking control of our borders" is about illegal immigration,(something the EU is very good at supporting), and also being able to control who enters the UK and who doesn't.

              It has nothing to do with trade.

                  Sorry, but it is the Good Friday Agreement that is being "dogmatic" about the backstop. The All Ireland Backstop is a potential way out but clearly the Unionists cannot back that proposal.

                      Why can't they? Unless there is some sort of negotiation, it won't be resolved. They have had over three years to address this, but nobody made the effort, simply because they wanted to thwart Brexit. Sorry, but shrugging the shoulders and saying it can't be done when there has been no effort at all just doesn't cut it.

                        There was an interview with an ex head of borders (don't think it was UK but possibly was) and he was saying the EU are wildly out of date with what they understand in terms of borderless controls and tech. He reckons it's perfectly possible and the EU were just wrong and being blinkered and bloody minded about the whole thing.

                        I think we're offering to match all current border requirements in any event so not really sure what the issue is anymore, other than the EU won't have a hook into our coffers.
