Rain overnight and early this morning gave way to sunshine for a few hours. Grey clouds gathered this afternoon with a light shower or two, and a light breeze that's welcome as it's clearing the lawns of leaves. 14C/57F

Just stopped raining. Very wet out there but there are a few breaks in the cloud. Likely to be showery all day and we (The Yarn Bombers ) are dressing the town today

Just another miserable wet morning here; not raining at the moment.

Yesterday afternoon Blackie gave me a good soaking as I started using the hoe in our front garden; back indoors the sun came out; after a mug of tea and putting on dry clothes I was back out with the hoe; I swapped my shoes for wellies in the hut then spent a very enjoyable hour giving weeds an hard time; after all the heavy rain the soil was very soft making hoeing easy.

I can't be bothered looking at the usually wrong weather forecast for today; I'll just take it as it comes; I'm on top of the gardening jobs at last; the bungalow too is now fully sorted so c'mon Blackie and Gale do your thing because I couldn't care less; my mind is now on workshop projects like metal spinning and woodturning doing these indoors out from under weather torment.

Many thanks wiseowl; I like your little friend.

I escaped Blackie this morning whilst I fitted a hoe head to its handle; when I came out of the workshop it had been pouring with rain and Blackie is still putting down heavy showers; it would be paradise indeed if I was in the middle of the Sahara desert.

The gardens look wonderful though with lots of flowers still in full bloom although frosts will soon be upon us once again; night time temperatures are starting to fall.

WOW wiseowl; it's so kind of you and yes it's just arrived; dull sunshine is better than no sunshine and before I dash to the pharmacist for some rare Yorkshire sun block I don't mind sharing my good fortune with you lolimac after all we're neighbours and as such look out for each other. 4C forecast for Tuesday night lolimac here in West Yorkshire so most likely for you too; soon be putting antifreeze in our mugs of tea again? (Just kidding because there are people who would try this).
