Hello, my daughter has some sunflowers recently germinated, but they are suddenly(ish) getting crowded out by the smaller, and larger, plants (1 of each) in the photos. I don't know what they are. Can anyone help? Thanks from sunny Shoreham-by-sea!
The larger plants in the middle photo look like Lily of the Valley" Convallaria majalis should have a pleasant smell. I would consider moving the sunflower. The small seedlings I think are just weeds and I would just carefully weed round the sunflowers. Keep an eye out for slugs and snails as they love young sunflowers.
You have Bindweed showing (heart shaped leaves) in first image middle of upper part of bed. Dig out the plant and all of the roots.
And what looks like 100's of Chickweed seedlings, if left much longer it'll provide cover for slugs and snails.
