Solved I love this thing in my friend's garden - but what is it?

most part of its leaves turn red if in the sun - quote low-growing and i havnt been around to see it flower -- seems to be some sort of ground cover?

Yes, don't grow it if you value your garden! And it is very pungent when you pull it out

 

I grew it once.. Never again! It has a strong tenacity and throws up runners just as strong as creeping buttercup lol.
And as Caroline says, they stink!
Either in a container as suggested maybe, or else 'down the bank' well away from the main garden.

 

Thank You everyone - i do like it so in a pot it is - not a bad idea anyway 'cos then i can place it where it will look at its best in relation to all else.
Isnt the net smashing? - someone always has the answer to everything -- some of my silver surfer friends wont have it even though i said i would endeavour to teach them!
