I remember as a lad in the early 60's going to the fish n chip shop.
    Cod n chips was 1/6d..
That translates to Seven and a half p.
The cod was 5p (a shilling) and the chips were a tanner (6d)
The portion of cod was big..
If you went to the shops with a pound you would buy the weeks shop with it, so yes times really have changed.
I intend to get as self sufficient with veg as possible now.

I remember my Dad saying that you could go to the Pub, get half a pint, 10 x cigarettes and a box of matches and still have change out of 4d.

      My first wage packet was £3 x 8 shillings & 6d.

I really hate people who dont keep to the white line when turning right at a T junction, and block the junction stopping people who are turning left from going up the inside.

I ordered a new microwave online last night, when through the process of paying for it and click and collect.
Got an email saying they would let me know when I can pick it up.

Got another email this morning saying they had cancelled my order, no explanation.
And a phone number saying due to covid it will take an hour to get through.
Covid the big excuse these days for rubbish service.

So got in the car and went and bought one this morning, much simpler.
I paid cash and the young person I paid was struggling to count the money, dont think he had seen real money before.

@weedaway I don't understand why you are frightened of him. I wouldn't let anyone come into my property let alone do damage without arming myself with a good sized pipe and going out for a chat!

I believe the above is criminal damage. I would park myself on the Police doorstep photo in hand. There must be ONE lawful person there. He is doing what he is because he can. On the other hand ... call the Police threatening to kill your neighbour ... bet they would be around in a flash. Call the Press. Call Crime Stoppers.

You could hire a professional body guard.
Imagine your neighbours face if suddenly Mr T confronts him with morning greetings.
This could be done quite legally in your own garden and if nothing else I'd guarantee Nasty from next door would crap himself.
I'd also keep your phone on 'record' whilst he shouts threats and abuse at you.

Well I'd ask the police for my property back.
I cant see how the police can stop you using CCTV on your own property.

Turn the garden hose on him, or a Flame Gun if there's on handy.

It's understandable not to let the neighbour win, but i would be looking to sell up at a knockdown price just to have a new future with proper sleep at night.
My neighbours are really lovely and i can't imagine what your going through.
Life just can't be worth living in those conditions.
If funds allowed it, I'd offer the property cheaply to a biker gang or some Irish gypsies.. The police don't usually like getting involved with them!..

This is a most confusing affair. I really do feel sorry for Weedaway. I am sure she has no objections to me mentioning that I have shewn special interest.

It is unbelieveable that this neandathal ( see photo), of him being under some mystic kind of protection from prosecution etc. Even diplomats are at the end of the day answerable to the law. Sadly as all else seems to have failed. I would certainly approach the papers or the media and get the matter exposed. Nobody should be forced to live in fear and under such conditions. If it was an animal being treated in this way. The powers to be would soon be taking action.
