Poet and don't know it....must be good to write poetry that has real meaning in this troublesome world we now live.....I do admire..Benjamin Zephaniah's works and take my hat off to somebody that can turn their life around as he has done.

Thank you. I could never understand why to read poetry/verse, was thought to be cissylike.
Often I will scribble something. Much like some doodle and sketch.

        I sometimes scribble down.
Take my hand, Let us go to that distant place, where our imagination can be free.
To dwell there until the morning sun rises.
Then we must make haste, back to our troubled enviroment.

It's people like this who are fueling the pandemic. Perhaps this tidy £10k fine will make them think twice before they do it again.

Covid: Four fined in Birmingham over red-list travel

With some luck they are now on a naugthy database - so that the airports can keep an eye on them.

They are losing it, people have had enough.

I see the curfew imposed in the Netherlands has been ruled illegal.

Its not just here, I think there will be all kinds of trouble if they dont start easing things soon.

Hopefully, thanks to the vaccine, any new spike in infections will be among the section of the population who are best able to live through it.

My worry now it that some of the oldies ( and yes I'm nearing the age group that I mean:heehee:), now seem to think all is fine now that they've had their first jab......I've actually spoken with 3 individuals who ...a...thought they could resume their old routines and not wear a mask..b....didn't know that they could actually still transmit the virus to others while being left uninfected themselves. One of these was a taxi driver....just think of the consequences if he drove people around unmasked in his cab!!!!
I can see the younger generation 20-50s being infected by the oldies and they are our workforce.
They are way down the vaccination list at the moment too.

With the new variants emerging though @pete + the fact that this time around more young people have had to be admitted to hospital.... the safer age group of coping better with it has now diminished some what.

I'm still of a thinking that this virus will have to run its course, vaccine is going to help, but until the vaccine is ahead of the game rather than playing catch up not a lot is going to change.

I'm not sure if it is now affecting the younger one any worse than it was before, are there any figures to substantiate that?

I think the 20 - 50s will probably infect themselves I dont really think the oldies are going to do that, in the main.

Lets face it, we were at one point led to believe you can catch it off a supermarket trolley:biggrin:
If that was the case most of us would be dead now.
