Yeah then we could send them some of what we buy off the French.
I don't think we generate enough for our own use at certain times, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure we struggle when the wind isn't blowing.

Farmers are renown for always stuggling, too wet, too cold, too dry etc. etc.
But mostly they just put the price up.

Not even fair! It's the middlemen that profit, not the farmers. At least, that's how it works here

 

The apple farmer told me he hated bumper crop years, it meant loads of apples to pick at low prices, better have fewer to pick at higher prices.
