Ive voted in all important elections the last 30 years. Local, national, euro etc but im done.
No party deserves my vote. Unless a new party interests me in the future my voting days are over i feel.

The 1% run the country not the politicians.

When it comes to voting my language is Anglo Saxon!

Back in the days of the three day week they cut the power in different areas on different days and at different times of the day. The local newspapers had the map published with the areas and the days and times they would be cut off. The line on the map went straight through our house! So I phoned our council to ask which group we were in. The answer was "I can't work it out, so wait until you get cut off and then you'll know"

We never did get cut off

I've had enough paperwork through the door to start a bonfire....now there's a thought. :) Some of it came in personally addressed envelopes and I don't suppose any of it was on recycled paper, such a waste!

        I'll be voting tactically tomorrow.

In your (Scotland's) case @Sheal I sincerely hope that people DO get out and vote and do so tactically to rid the country of the menace that the SNP are. My home is unrecognisable thanks to them, and any hope I ever had of moving back one day are long gone as a result - wouldn't even consider Scotland now.

The same applies to London to get Khan out - we've seen exponential increases in crime, particularly violent crime and he does nothing but sow division.

Well, I've done my bit for the day. Opened the Polling Station at 6 a.m. and have now left them on their own until 10 p.m.

We only had 2 bits of paper through the door, Con and Labour, we had both runing the county and not much has been done, we did have a MP which you could speak to and he would try and do things to help and he would try his best, but them days are long gone now, it all about "you sracht my back i'll sracht your back" and we will monitor the proplem, which mean they couldn't care a fig

The problem is, we have a weak government and even weaker opposition parties, we have for some time now.

Nope ...it they can't be bothered to share their policies with us ( we've had nothing through the post) then they haven't earned our votes...simple as that!
I have looked up who is running in our area but it's just a load of ' vote for me I'm going to solve everything ' spiel coming from each and every one of them.

So no X's in any boxes here today.

If everyone stopped voting purely out of habit - stopped putting their tick in the box for the red/blue/green/yellow party just because they always have and they need to vote for someone.... if everyone just didn't vote, a message would be sent.

It was drummed into me as a youngster that women suffered to gain females a vote so I should use it and I do. I said I would vote tactically today and did - against the SNP!

I don't suppose much has changed here in the Highlands as the SNP and of course Nicola Sturgeon don't seem to realise it still exists. Her world is centred around Glasgow. Come to the Highlands FC I'd be more than happy to have you as a neighbour. :imphrt:

Well, it looks like Labour have been handed their backside in Hartlepool. Good - maybe the message will start to get through. They've wholly abandoned the very people that built the party up, that being the indigenous working class. I supported Labour all my life (pretty much until the Corbyn years) and since then the party has gone down the toilet. They have gone after the London-centric, champagne socialist types - woke, preachy and dictatorial and sod the working man.

@Sheal - I love the highlands with all my heart, but even living here I am hearing the damage done; the drugs problem in places like Oban for a start.. Oban! One of the most beautiful wee towns there is, surrounded by such gorgeous countryside, yet apparently a raging drugs problem. That sort of stuff used to be the preserve of the rougher areas of the bigger towns.
