Gardener Ben came yesterday and cut out the invasive Melaleuca that sprouted from the base of the tree but I am sure this will be an ongoing procedure. It had migrated in front of the Oleander to the left of the Jacaranda and hid a small self-seeded Almond Tree to the right of the lightpost touching the Callistemon.

    After ...

Ben found a Honeysuckle  in the rockery in front so pulled it out best he could and we planted it by a trellis attached to the front of the house in hopes it roots.

Yes, it does Michael. It was too invasive.

The first bloom on the Plumbago is opening next to a Hibiscus under the Iochroma so it gets too much shade. It should already be in full bloom.

One of the Lantanas we put in an old china sink on the Dining Patio which we plan on keeping small.

The Oleander by the lane was cut back to sticks in September but has filled out nicely and starting to give a few blooms.

Thevetia peruviana lost all its leaves this winter for the first time ever since I got them in 2008. They (I have two in matching pots) recuperated and one has its first flower.

The Callistemon viminalis is blooming for the second time (never had repeat before) and it is marrying up with the Jacaranda mimosifolia over our gates. The Jacaranda has the biggest bloom we have ever seen,
