Solved Grows like a weed.

I get this coming up in various places from time to time, its not easy to pull out if it gets a start behind shrubs.
I think someone down the road has a hedge of it.
It does actually make a nice dense hedge once clipped.
Any ideas what it is.

 

It is a Cotoneaster sp.
A gift from the birds?

 

I had a feeling it was some kind of Cotoneaster, but didn't mention it because I thooght it might sway people.

Now, can you tell me which one?

 

Cotoneaster id is hard.
Especially as different Cotoneaster sp can cross.

My guess would be Cotoneaster franchetii but I also have read they hybridise so they might not be one specific species.

Thanyou both, yes it does look like a possibility, but never seen it fruit, I usually try to get rid of it before that happens.
The hedge down the road gets clipped a couple of times a year so I dont think that fruits either.
